Located alongside Ballindalloch Distillery on the banks of the River Avon, the course offers an impressive Highland backdrop, surrounded by 150-year-old trees and stunning views of the purple heather-clad hills and native birch woods.

Designed by renowned golf course architects Donald Steel and Tom Mackenzie, the course takes full advantage of the natural landscape and presents a par 72 challenge off the 18 tees.

The holes are thoughtfully laid out across two levels, each offering a unique experience, and they are linked by an incredible par 5 hole that starts high on the hill and ends at a picturesque green surrounded by trees at the valley floor. The spacious layout allows golfers to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the surroundings without interference from other players or stray golf balls.

The designers have achieved a perfect blend of challenging golf and aesthetic appeal, reminiscent of their other famous Scottish creation, the Carnegie Course at Skibo Castle. The course combines wide fairways with narrow approaches, making it both demanding and attractive.

As far as we know, we are the only golf course in the world with a distillery on site.

The course is conveniently located just off the A95, behind Ballindalloch Distillery, and is within easy reach of several hotels and Ballindalloch Castle itself. Additionally, there are two electric vehicle charging points available in the car park, and the course can be booked for exclusive use.
